The First Post

So here is is the first post and, what I've decided to do with it isn't all to incredible. You see, my main goal with this blog is to be big (think Barstool). I want to be that guy that every college kid knows, but I want to do it while in college. The only challenge is getting to that point, but I mean can it really be that hard, or is it all luck. El Pres, the writer of Barstool simply writes about what he loves (sports, women, gambling) and the sponsorships and advertisements come flying in from all directions.

After writing that I searched online for a luck quote and this is what I came across
"Luck is what you have left over after you give 100 percent."  ~Langston Coleman
Now I'm not really sure who Langston Coleman is, but his quote is right on. Success is a by-product of 100% effort and a lot of luck. If you think of it, if success was only based off of hard work, there would be a lot more successful people in this world.

Speaking of success, some basic research of Langston Coleman turned up an interesting success story. As a high schooler, Trey "Langston" Coleman considered himself a "drop in" not a drop out, as he grew up poor and homeless. When Coleman first arrived in Lincoln, Nebraska (rumors say he walked there) home of the Huskers, he called his home the local YMCA. As one of the first walk-ons in school history he received very little playing time, until one game during his sophomore year. Late in the game, an eager Coleman was convinced to run onto the field, by a fellow teammate, and swap positions with another player. Coleman did so and went on not only to win player of the game, but to never sit again.

Today, Dr. Trey Coleman is the Director of Grants and Sponsored Research at Florida Memorial University. He is truly an inspirational "rags to riches" story.

So I am coming to the end of my first post and a question is rattling my mind.Could I share the same luck as Coleman? Well i guess only time can tell, but for now...
